Meet and learn more about the doctors at A. Little Veterinary Clinic!
Dr. Sharon Alger purchased A. Little Veterinary Clinic in 1997 after four years of practicing at Governor’s Animal Hospital in Dover, Delaware and one year of service in Wisconsin. Owning a practice
was a new adventure and one that would be the beginning of something wonderful. Growing up as a child and spending years on a farm with her parents and siblings she developed a strong love for animals.
Dr. Little received her undergraduate degree at Delaware State University where she accomplished her four years of study. She would then move to Kansas and attend Kansas State University's Veterinary School of Medicine where she would receive her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.
A general practitioner, Dr. Little spends most of her time doing patient care and annual visits during her days at the office. Her professional interests include skin diseases, ear issues and innovative equipment to better evaluate ear conditions.
When Dr. Little is not checking in on patients or seeing appointments you can find her with her family at their farm. She enjoys spending time with her two daughters, knitting and reading. More importantly, whenever the weather is nice, you can find her driving her horses and loving every minute.
Associate veterinarian at A. Little Veterinary Clinic, Dr. Sheryl Trivits completed her undergraduate studies at Virginia Tech and was awarded a B.S. Degree in Pre-Veterinary Science.
Following her undergraduate studies, Dr. Trivits would go on to Iowa State to attend
a four year term where she then received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.
She came on board with our hospital in 1997, bringing her ten years of experience to our practice.
A general practitioner, Dr. Trivits has professional interests in surgery and new innovative procedures.
Her interest in becoming a veterinarian began as a young adult while spending summers on her relative’s farms. She finds that the best thing about animals is the companionship they give to us. Since the companionship they give to us is so gentle and unique she also feels it is important to be attentive to how our pets are feeling and being supportive of them as they are us. The companionship they give to us is so unique and priceless. She feels it is so important to be supportive of them during their time of need and recognize what it is they may be going through.
During her leisure time, Dr. Trivits enjoys gardening, biking, camping and watching her son play baseball. At her house she is usually accompanied by her cats who never cease to entertain and can often be found resting in her lap.

Our team would not be complete without our mascots. These two are special young ladies, Dr. Little’s daughters, who often come to visit us at the office. We enjoy their stories, special projects and songs.
Christie and Claudia both enjoy spending time with all of us and often teach us “A. Little“ something new each time they visit. They enjoy the puppies and kittens most but are never afraid to step into an exam room while Mommy’s working and meet the owners and their pets.
