A. Little Bit About Our Staff

Meet our Staff and get to know what makes them tick!

Julie, Office Manager

Julie has been with us from the beginning in some way shape or form.  With 7 years of service she has brought a renewing sense of animal care and concern.  To Julie it is very important to enjoy your pets while they are with us on earth and how they move on to a great place once they leave us.  Her special veterinary interest has always been surgery although she is efficient in so many other areas of the hospital.  Before joining on with Dr. Little when the practice began she worked in Public relations and communications.  She enjoys riding horses while outside the office and watching her daughters play soccer.

Larry, Practice Manager

Larry is not only Dr. Little’s husband but our practice manager. Even though you don’t see him in the office all that often he is a key player in our daily business activities.  We would be lost without him.  He loves golfing, playing cards and spending time with his two daughters Christie & Claudia.  He contributes a huge amount of business knowledge to the clinic as well as a sense of humor that no one can match!  We all truly appreciate all that Larry does to keep everyone running smoothly.   He helped in building the practice from the bottom up. Not to mention all of the hard work he has done with many of our renovations. We surely would be lost without him!

Brenda, Surgical Nurse

Brenda has been with us for over 6 years and is our surgical care nurse.  She is a strong leader and puts patient care first.  While assisting in every surgical procedure she maintains a clean and organized surgery area.  She prides herself in ensuring patients get the care they deserve!  She enjoys learning more about skin, nutrition and dental care.   Her love of animals only begins with cats and dogs.  Her true companions are her horses.  When she’s not hard at work at the clinic, she’s riding horses, spending time with her family and doing all kinds of outdoor activities.

Candace, CSC & Inventory Manager

Candace has been a member of the A. Little Veterinary Clinic team since 2002.  She began as a receptionist and has gained great knowledge over the past seven years in all aspects of the hospital.  She spends most of her time assisting clients and their pets with their needs and managing inventory.  Candace feels that client needs come first. She is an animal lover and Labrador fanatic.  In her spare time she enjoys outdoor activities, scrapbooking and time with family and friends.  Candace currently holds a Bachelors degree in Business Management and has taken a few courses in veterinary hospital management as well.

Debbie, CSR

Debbie recently joined our team in 2009.  She brought eight years of experience and a wealth of knowledge along with her.  As an essential part of our front desk staff she enjoys meeting and greeting all of the new pets that walk through the door.  Debbie loves to hear all of the stories about how pets have enriched the lives of our clients.   On the weekends you can find her at the BMX track or baseball field with her husband and son.

Brooke, Veterinary Assistant

Brooke has been working the in the veterinary world since she was a teen. She began as a part-time kennel assistant and has since grown into a full time position and become proficient in all aspects of patient care and routine visits.  She is a cat lover by far.  Her interests are in the young puppy and kitten care. Outside of the clinic she enjoys time with friends, walking her dog Annie in the park and movies.  While at work she mostly enjoys meeting all of the different patients and getting to know their personalities.

Sherrie, Assistant

An “A. Little Vet” veteran, Sherrie joins us a couple nights a week to help with animal care.  She’s been a team member for 12 years and is an avid animal lover.  She believes in making sure that all animals are at ease and are as comfortable as possible and she is key in patient care.  Sherrie holds a B.S. in Biology and enjoys nature, traveling and reading in her free time.  Sherrie shares a strong interest in Holistic Veterinary Care and good sources of nutrition for pets. She loves her co-workers and keeping the animals we care for healthy and happy.

Christina, Veterinary Assistant
Christina, Veterinary Assistant

Christina joined our team in October 2009.  You may have seen her in the rooms assisting Dr. Little and helping with patient care.  Her long time love of animals has helped her in deciding to apply for vet school in the fall.  She currently has a Bachelors of Science Degree in Agriculture with a minor in Pre-Veterinary Medicine from Delaware State University.  The experience she has gained at our hospital has encouraged her to pursue further schooling the veterinary field with the hopes of becoming a certified Veterinarian in the future.  When she is not at work she enjoys participating in horse shows and quality time with her horses.  She also enjoys time with her boyfriend and Beagle Mix, Buddy.  The one thing she enjoys most about her career choice, is seeing a sick animal leave our hospital feeling healed and with bright eyes when they see their family!

Pat, Front Desk Associate

Pat has been with us for almost 4 years now.  She is a great source of knowledge and enjoys doing anything she can to help out.  Pat is currently working with us part-time and enjoys seeing all the patients that come to visit us.  Her niche has always been nutrition.  She has done many projects organizing our nutrition information and educating the rest of the staff on what she learns.  During her time off you might find her traveling, spending time with friends or reading at any chance she gets.  She brings us a great sense of friendship and has been a wonderful asset.
